Operations Midland and Fairbank  (VIP pedo-ring 80's)

Scotland Yard has launched a criminal investigation into claims a child was killed by a paedophile ring alleged to have high-level connections to the establishment [...] Detectives will be looking to see if it is possible to corroborate the witness’s claims about the homicide some three decades after the alleged killing. [...] The man, named only as Nick, told the BBC he had been abused by the paedophile ring with VIP connections for nine years.

[...] He said of his abusers: “They were very powerful people and they controlled my life for the next nine years. They created fear that penetrated every part of me, day in day out. You didn’t question what they wanted, you did as they asked without question and the punishments were very severe.” He said the alleged abusers were “very organised” and got chauffeur-driven cars to collect boys from locations such as schools, and drive them to the places they would be attacked, such as hotels or flats in London and other cities. Nick said the abusers showed little concern about being identified or caught: “They had no hesitation in doing what they wanted to do. Some of them were quite open about who they were. They had no fear at all of being caught, it didn’t cross their mind.” He claimed the abusers would inflict brutal punishments on any child who did not obey orders. [...]

Scotland Yard has been investigating claims made against the late former prime minister Sir Edward Heath for several months as part of its inquiry into historical child sex abuse by establishment figures [...] allegations against Heath are being examined by detectives working on Operation Midland, which was set up to examine claims of murder by a Westminster paedophile ring that systematically abused children. Operation Midland falls under a wider umbrella of investigations, known as Operation Fairbank, into allegations of abuse involving senior politicians and high-profile figures.

A series of politicians have been accused of abusing children, including late former Cabinet Minister Leon Brittan and Lib Dem Sir Cyril Smith. The Mirror uncovered claims of a cover-up when one of Tony Blair’s ministers was suspected of being part of a child sex ring in Lambeth, South London, in the 1980s.[...] Others named in secret files included Brittan, Thatcher aide Peter Morrison, former diplomat Peter Hayman and ex-minister William van Straubenzee.[...]

Re: Operations Midland and Fairbank
